This presentation provides the definition and cultural understanding of sex, gender, and sexuality, underlines the importance of intersectionality, and explains why UPlift Black is anchored in 2SLGBTQI+ inclusivity. It explores the history and cultural understanding of gender identity and expression, highlights the discrimination and challenges members of the 2SLGBTQI+ community experience within the larger society, and provides recommendations for supporting members of the 2SLGBTQI+ community in the workplace.
